PM Narendra Modi has doubled the celebration of Guru Parv by withdrawing all three farm laws.
In his address, the PM said, "We had brought three new laws, the purpose was to give more strength to small farmers."
He also appealed to the farmers to end the protest and return home, and return to their fields.
Reacting to this, farmer leader Rakesh Tikait has clarified that the farmers' movement will not return immediately.
He wrote, "We will wait for the day when farm laws will be repealed in Parliament. Along with the MSP, the government should also discuss other issues of farmers."
