Mumbai Court allows Parambir Singh to be declared a proclaimed offender

  • Mumbai's Esplanade Court has allowed Parambir Singh, former commissioner of Mumbai Police, to be declared a proclaimed offender.
  • Now, Mumbai police can declare Singh as a wanted accused and can start the process of declaring him a fugitive at all possible places.
  • The information said that if he does not come in 30 days, then the Mumbai Police will be able to start the process of attaching their properties.
  • Letting you know, on July 22, Mumbai's Marine Drive police station had registered a case against Parambir Singh for allegedly demanding Rs 15 crore from a builder.
  • It is alleged that the accused extorted Rs 11.92 lakh by showing fear of action against the complainant's hotel and bar.
