Petrol, diesel gets a bit cheaper in Rajasthan as the state reduces VAT
- The central govt had made a cut in the excise duty on petroleum products at the beginning of the month.
- Many states had also cut the VAT or Value Added Tax levied on their behalf.
- Rajasthan govt has also announced a reduction in VAT on petrol and diesel.
- After this decision, petrol in Rajasthan will be cheaper by Rs 4 and diesel by Rs 5 per litre.
- After the reduction on duty by the Center, there was a cut of Rs 7 on petrol and Rs 10 per litre on diesel.
