SP MLA from Gauriganj in Amethi, Rakesh Pratap Singh, has resigned from the assembly over the issue of the construction of two roads.
He sat on a fast at Gandhi Statue in Hazratganj after resigning from the post of MLA.
They have decided to give up food and water from Friday after no hearing despite the ongoing fast for the last 4 days.
He submitted his resignation to Speaker Hridnayaran Dixit on 31st October.
In a letter to the Speaker, he said, "I am also unable to solve the problems of the people in the present govt."
