'If govt can las for 5 years, then why not farmers' protest'- Rakesh Tikait

  • BKU leader Rakesh Tikait celebrated Diwali along with farmers and other leaders.
  • They all remembered the farmers and jawans killed at the Ghazipur protest site itself.
  • Farmers also organized a program called "Do diyas, martyrs ke liye" for the soldiers who died in the line of duty.
  • Talking to NDTV, Tikait said that the last time the central government spoke to the farmers was on January 22.
  • When asked how long the farmers' movement would last, Tikait said, "If governments can last for 5 years, then protests can also last for 5 years."
