Assam- Girl shamed for wearing jeans and not burqa, shop keeper calls her prostitute

  • A shocking incident has come to the fore from the Assam's Vishwanath district.
  • A shopkeeper allegedly shamed the girl and threw her out of the shop as she was not wearing a burqa, but jeans.
  • Not only this, but her father was also assaulted. So far,  two other people have been arrested in the case.
  • According to police sources, the incident took place at a mobile phone accessories store in Vishwanath Chariali.
  • It is about 230 km from Guwahati, where the girl had gone to buy a pair of earphones.
