Income Tax Department Raids on Ajit Pawar; Double Attack on Mahavikas Aghadi In Maharashtra

  • After the arrest of former Home Minister of Maharashtra, Anil Deshmukh in the money laundering case, the Mahavikas Aghadi in Maharashtra were dealt a double blow.
  • The Income Tax Department (IT) conducted raids on the properties of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar allegedly worth 1000 Crs.
  • The IT has attached various disputed properties of Pawar and his relatives, namely Jarandeshwar Sugar Plant worth 600 crs.
  • IT has also attached a flat worth 20 crs in South Delhi. His son Parth Pawar's office in Mumbai, a resort in Goa, and various other properties have also been attached.
  • Ajit Pawar has been given an ultimatum of 90 days to prove that these properties have not been brought illegally.
