Sabyasachi Mukherjee takes down his Magalsutra campaign after warning from Narottam Mishra
- Famous fashion and jewellery designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee has withdrawn his Mangalsutra campaign.
- This came after heavy criticism for his advertisement and said he was "deeply pained" at the suffering caused to a section of society by the ad.
- MP Home Minister Narottam Mishra had given a 24-hour ultimatum to Sabyasachi to remove the 'objectionable and obscene' advertisement of Mangalsutra.
- He had warned of a case against him if he does not remove it within 24 hours after which the ace designer had to take the advertisement down.
- Sabyasachi wrote on Instagram, "The Mangalsutra campaign was aimed at negotiating inclusiveness and empowerment, but a section of our society has suffered because of this. So we have decided to withdraw this campaign."
