7 arrested, 4 detained for celebrating Pak's victory in T20, CM Yogi said- 'strict action'
- After the T20 World Cup match, when India lost to Pakistan, there were reports of people celebrating Pakistan's victory.
- The UP Police has taken action for celebrating Pakistan's victory and India's defeat in the match and raising pro-Pakistan slogans.
- So far, 7 people have been arrested and four have been detained from five districts. A case of sedition will be filed against them.
- State CM Yogi Adityanath has also said that action will be taken against those celebrating Pakistan's victory.
- Nafisa Atari, a School teacher in Rajasthan who was suspended from job for celebrating Pak's victory over India in a cricket match has been arrested & sent to Jail.
