
'No plans to send Rohingyas back to India'- Karnataka govt to SC
- The Karnataka govt has told the Supreme Court that it has no plans to send Rohingyas back to India.
- The state govt, in its affidavit, has said that there is no plan to deport 72 Rohingyas working in different areas in Bengaluru.
- The state govt has filed this affidavit in the SC on public interest litigation filed by BJP leader Ashwini Upadhyay seeking to deport Rohingyas.
- Letting you know, a public interest litigation was filed in the Supreme Court in September 2017.
- It demanded the immediate deportation of all illegal migrants from Bangladesh within a year.
