Big setback for Mayawati, two BSP MLAs resign, join Samajwadi Party
- UP Assembly elections are to be held in February-March and the political turmoil has already been intensifying.
- Two BSP MLAs Lalji Verma and Ram Achal Rajbhar on Sunday joined the Samajwadi Party.
- BSP supremo Mayawati has suffered a major setback. Both Rajbhar and Lalji Verma have been MLAs for five terms each.
- Both have been cabinet ministers several times. Ram Achal Rajbhar was the state president of BSP.
- Including both of them in the party, Akhilesh Yadav said that they will strengthen the Samajwadi Party.
