'Govt not able to remove the tax from fuel due to national interest'- Baba Ramdev
- The rising rates of petrol and diesel are affecting the common man every day and night.
- Meanwhile, Yog Guru Baba Ramdev has given a controversial statement regarding the same.
- Baba has said, "Due to national interest and economic challenges, the govt is not able to remove the tax from petrol and diesel, but there is an expectation that it will remove it at some point or the other.
- He added, "Before 2014, Ramdev used to say that petrol would become Rs 35 a litre as soon as the BJP government was formed.
- But now, that tweet has been deleted. Not only Baba but the opposition has been targeting the Modi govt over the fuel price hikes.
