TMC's Babul Supriyo resigns from the post of MP, said- 'gets emotional'
- TMC leader Babul Supriyo today met Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and resigned from the post of MP.
- After resigning, he spoke to the media and got emotional while talking about his political journey.
- He said that his heart is heavy because he started his political career with BJP.
- Supriyo said, "I thank the PM, party chief and Amit Shah. He showed confidence in me. I left politics wholeheartedly."
- "I thought that if I am not part of the party, then I should not keep the seat for myself", he added.
