- During the first lockdown of the Covid 19 pandemic, Union Ministers had purchased a vast area of the property.
- The Ministers have himself has given this information to the PMO office while making his assets public.
- External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Irani, Sarbananda Sonowal have given this information.
- PMO said that Irani and five ministers of state have bought properties in their respective Lok Sabha constituencies.
- Cabinet minister Giriraj Singh and his wife also reported the sale of two properties during this period, which amounted to nearly 4 times and more than 6 times the "cost of assets" declared in the previous financial year.
