Congress links Centre's move to increase the strength of BSF with the Gujarat drugs case
- After increasing the jurisdiction of the BSF, the Center and the opposition Congress have once again come face to face.
- Congress leader Randeep Surjewala criticized the Center over the "unilateral" decision to increase the jurisdiction of the BSF in Punjab.
- He has also claimed that this move is an attempt to divert attention from the movement of heroin through the Mundra Port run by Adani in Gujarat this year.
- He tweeted, "The Chronology- 25,000 Kgs of Heroin Drugs came through Adani Port, Gujarat on 9/6/2021. 3,000 Kgs of Heroin Drugs caught at Adani Port, Gujarat on 13/9/2021."
- Surjewala added, "BSF jurisdiction unilaterally increased from 15 Kms to 50 Kms in Punjab. Federalism Dead, Conspiracy Clear."
