After Air India, the govt company CEL all set for sale, govt gets the financial bid

  • The Modi govt, which is rapidly moving towards privatization, has decided to sell the govt company Central Electronics Limited after Air India.
  • The Finance Ministry said that the financial bid has been received for 100% stake and management control transfer of CEL.
  • Tuhin Kant Pandey, Secretary, Investment and Public Property Department, said that the sale process of this central govt engineering company is in the final stages.
  • To buy it, a condition was laid that the company should have a net worth of 50 crores, as well as the buying company, should not sell the stake to anyone for the next three years.
