Dalit youth lynched in Rajasthan, Jignesh Mevani attacks CM Gehlot, said- 'Barbarism'
- There are reports of social discrimination and atrocities against Dalits in the country almost daily.
- Recently, a similar incident took place in Rajasthan, in which a Dalit youth Jagdish Meghwal was thrashed to death.
- Jagdish was assaulted for allegedly having a love affair with a neighbour's wife.
- Taking cognizance, Congress leader Jignesh Mevani tweeted, "Extremely disturbing incident being reported from Rajasthan where a poor Dalit man was brutally murdered."
- He added, "A quick action must be taken and culprits be brought to book immediately. I request the Rajasthan govt to take this on priority. This barbarism isn't allowed anywhere."
