Lakhimpur Violence: Ashish Mishra on remand for three days from today, police stopped from using third degree
- The three-day police remand of Ashish Mishra, son of Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra, the main accused in the Lakhimpur violence, is starting from Tuesday.
- During the hearing on Monday, the prosecution said, "During interrogation, Ashish did not cooperate in the investigation, so police remand is needed."
- The police sought remand of 14 days but the court granted only 3 days, during which it said not to use third-degree against Ashish.
- Ashish's lawyer said, "Thousands of questions were asked during the interrogation, all the questions were answered, what is to be inquired now."
- Ignoring his point, the court sent him on police remand. Let us tell you, prayers are being held today in support of the farmers killed in Lakhimpur.
