Lakhimpur case- UP Police nabs Union Minister's son Ashish Mishra, sent to jail
- Union Minister's son Ashish Mishra has been arrested after reports that he has fled to Nepal.
- The arrest was made after more than 12 hours of interrogation in connection with the Lakhimpur violence.
- Ashish was produced before the duty magistrate at 12.30 pm. SIT asked for 3 days of judicial custody but his lawyers opposed.
- In such a situation, the duty magistrate ordered to send Ashish to jail in judicial custody.
- Police said that he was giving "evasive answers" and not cooperating with the investigation.
