
SC reprimands Yogi govt on Lakhimpur violence, judge said- 'why not arrested?'
- The Supreme Court has taken suo moto cognizance of hearing on the Lakhimpur violence case of UP, during which it has reprimanded the UP govt.
- The Supreme Court reprimanded and said, "When the police have registered a case under 302, then why arrest has not been made till now."
- The court expressed dissatisfaction with the steps taken by the UP Police after the violence, saying, "whoever the accused is, the law should take its course."
- Harish Salve, who is arguing on behalf of the UP govt, said, "Ashish will appear before the police on Saturday, Chief Justice Bobde granted the deferment."
