'IAS officer is being harassed on the basis of religion'- Owaisi's jibe at UP govt
- The UP govt has ordered an inquiry into the religious bigotry video of a senior IAS officer, Iftkharuddin.
- Due to this, politics has intensified in the state. AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has alleged that an IAS officer is being harassed on the basis of religion.
- He tweeted, "UP govt set up an SIT to ‘investigate’ a 6-year-old video of senior IAS Iftekhar sb."
- Owaisi added, "The video has been taken out of context & is from a time when this govt wasn’t even in power. This is blatant targeted harassment based on religion."
- He said, "If merely discussing faith at home is a crime then punish any officer participating in public religious celebration."
