ED screws on Shiv Sena MP Bhavana, summoned for questioning in money laundering case
- Saeed Khan, a close aide of Shiv Sena MP Bhavana Gawli, was arrested in the money laundering case. Now the ED has also taken him into custody.
- The ED suspected that both Gawli and Saeed Khan are involved in the case as Gawli tried to convert a trust into a private company through Saeed.
- The ED has also confirmed in the court that there was a scam of Rs 18.18 crore and theft of Rs 7 crore.
- It is alleged that the management of the trust misappropriated the money by forging signatures to convert the trust into a private company.
- According to the ED officials, a total of Rs 69 crore from the trust was invested in the new company, in which the matter would be questioned.
