'Only Congress will be able to save this country'- Kanhaiya on joining Congress
- On the birth anniversary of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, CPI leader Kanhaiya Kumar and independent Gujarat MLA Jignesh Mevani have joined the Congress.
- After joining the Congress, Kanhaiya Kumar said, "I had read that choose the enemy, friends will become automatically, so I have made a choice."
- He said, "Dictatorship is going on in the country, Congress is the biggest opposition party at this time, only Congress will be able to save this country."
- Kanhaiya Kumar said, "Our partner Jignesh gave the picture of Gandhi-Ambedkar and Bhagat Singh to Rahul Gandhi. Today the country needs the courage of Bhagat Singh."
- Jignesh attacked the Modi govt, referring to heroin worth twenty one thousand crore rupees found at Adani Port in Gujarat.
