Punjab- Navjot Singh Sidhu resigns from the post of Congress President
- The political turmoil is intensifying in Punjab. Navjot Singh Sidhu resigned from the post of Congress President on Tuesday.
- He submitted his resignation to Sonia Gandhi, as well as sent a letter to her in which he refused to compromise on the future of Punjab.
- He wrote that the Congress high command had chosen him for the post of state president, due to which Captain Amarinder Singh had to leave the post of CM.
- It is being told that Sidhu was not happy with the cabinet expansion under the leadership of CM Charanjit Singh Channi, so he did so.
- It is worth mentioning that elections are going to be held in Punjab only after six months. The discord within Congress can harm it a lot in the coming elections.
