- The farmers have organized Bharat Bandh today to protest against the Center's farm laws.
- BKU leader Rakesh Tikait has also raised the issue of sugarcane price in Uttar Pradesh.
- He said, "The announcement of Rs 25 quintal in sugarcane price by the UP govt is not only insufficient, it is a joke with the farmers."
- Tikait also said, "A handful of farmers, those who tell the movement of some states, open their eyes and see that today the whole country is supporting the #BharatBand on the call of the farmers."
- He added, "The govt should open its ears, listen to agricultural laws. There will be no home returning without guarantee of return and MSP."
