'Condition of farmers in UP is pathetic, price of sugarcane is Rs 400'- BJP MP Varun Gandhi
- Amidst the ongoing agitation against the agriculture laws, the Yogi govt of UP increased the support price of sugarcane by Rs 25 to Rs 350 per quintal.
- After this decision, BJP MP Varun Gandhi wrote a letter to CM Yogi Adityanath, through which he demanded to reduce the price of sugarcane to Rs 400.
- He wrote in his letter that the cost of sugarcane has increased significantly in the last four years, but the economic condition of the farmers remains pathetic due to non-increasing prices.
- Varun said, "Farmers are not getting proper price due to which they are in debt, it is necessary to increase the support price."
