
'We need 50% reservation for women in the judiciary'- CJI NV Ramana
- Chief Justice of India (CJI) NV Ramana has today said, "we need 50% reservation for women in the judiciary."
- He said that there is a need to strongly recommend supporting the demand for some percentage reservation in all law schools of the country.
- "This is women's right. They are entitled to demand this", the CJI further added.
- NV Ramana said this while addressing the Supreme Court women lawyers.
- He was speaking at the honour ceremony organized for the 9 new judges of the Supreme Court.
