Case of sweet theft reaches the court, judge acquits the accused child, said - 'Krishna also used to steal butter'

  • A strange case has come to light from Nalanda in Bihar where a juvenile court has acquitted a child accused of theft.
  • Juvenile Chief Magistrate Manvendra Mishra said, "We have to be tolerant in the matters of children, we have to understand the social status of the children."
  • In fact, a child had come to his maternal grandmother in Hainaut police station of Nalanda district, when he was hungry. He ate sweets kept at the neighbour's maternal aunt's house and took a mobile.
  • While playing the game outside the house, the aunt took the mobile but lodged a complaint of theft of sweets with the police, on which the judge acquitted the child.
  • The judge said that there is a description of Lord Krishna stealing butter in our Sanatan culture. He asked the police not to register the case like this.
