UP Police arrests Maulana Kalim Siddiqui in the conversion case
- Maulana Kalim Siddiqui, president of Global Peace Center, has been arrested by UP ATS in connection with the conversion.
- Before this, Mufti Qazi and Umar Gautam were arrested in the conversion case. Siddiqui was also arrested after interrogation of both of them.
- UP ATS told in a press conference, "Maulana is accused of raising funds through hawala. He has been presented in court."
- It is being told that one and a half crore rupees had come from Bahrain in Maulana's account. AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan has opposed his arrest.
- Amanatullah Khan said, "Famous Islamic scholar is being arrested before the elections in UP, atrocities against Muslims are increasing."
