'Even people who get vaccinated in India are not exempted', Jairam Ramesh calls UK's new policy racist
- Britain has issued new travel guidelines, which has been criticized by former Union Minister Jairam Ramesh.
- According to the guidelines, people vaccinated in African and South American countries will also have to compulsorily stay in a 10-day quarantine upon arrival in England and undergo RT-PCR tests.
- Britain has expanded this list to include India, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Jordan.
- It has been said that people vaccinated here will be considered unvaccinated and they will have to follow the rules under it.
- Ramesh tweeted, "Absolutely bizarre considering Covishield was originally developed in the UK and The Serum Institute, Pune has supplied to that country too! This smacks of racism."
