Charanjit Channi declared as the new CM of Punjab, Randhawa said- 'grateful'

In Punjab, Congress finally decided on the name of the new Chief Minister. Charanjit Channi will be the next Chief Minister of Punjab.
In the Congress Legislature Party meeting held in Chandigarh, Charanjit Singh Channi was elected leader.
After Channi's name was stamped for the CM's post, he along with Congress's Punjab in-charge Harish Rawat is leaving for Raj Bhavan to meet the governor.
After this decision, Sukhjinder Randhawa, a strong contender for the post, said that he was happy about the decision of the party high command.
He said, "I am grateful to all the MLAs, who supported me. Channi is my brother."
