Youth arrested in a beef smuggling case, dies in custody, police accused of murder

Shocking news has come out from the Panchmahal district of Gujarat where a youth, arrested for cow smuggling, died in police custody.
According to the information received, Godhra B Division police had arrested a person named Qasim Abdullah for carrying cow meat.
He was to be produced before the magistrate on Thursday but he died a day before. The police said, "The young man hanged himself, we have CCTV footage."
Relatives of the deceased youth said, "When they met Qasim, he had spoken of assault, he is being forced to confess that he was carrying beef."
The relatives have demanded the senior officers investigate the matter seriously. They allege that Qasim was murdered in police custody.
