UP: Dalit village head beaten to death in CM Yogi's home district, seven accused arrested

  • Crime does not seem to be curbed in Uttar Pradesh. A Dalit village headman was beaten to death in Gorakhpur district of UP.
  • According to the information received, in Semar Dadi village of Sahjanwa police station area, on Monday night, the village head Janak Dhari Ranjan was badly beaten up by the bullies.
  • The family members took the village head to Tharrapar Hospital from where he was referred to Gorakhpur District Hospital, where he died during treatment.
  • Regarding the incident, SSP Dr. Vipin Tada said that a case has been registered on the complaint of the relatives, seven people have been arrested.
