After the Mumbai rape case, the state Police to take many new steps to protect women

  • Amidst the increasing atrocities on women in Mumbai, a case of molestation of a 7-year-old girl has come to light in the city's MIDC area.
  • The police have arrested the accused. Because of the ever-increasing cases, Mumbai Police is also going to take many steps to reduce such cases.
  • The Mumbai Police Commissioner has issued a circular and ordered that if any call related to women comes to the control room, immediate action will be taken on it.
  • The police will continuously patrol the deserted and dark places. Talks are on with BMC to install more CCTVs in such places.
  • Police will patrol outside the women's toilet, if any suspicious is seen, immediately interrogation will be done. Police vans will be stationed outside railway stations from 10 pm to 7 am.
