Kejriwal on stubble and pollution-'it is the fault of the govt, not farmers as the solution was to be presented to them'
- Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal today said that an audit conducted by a central agency in Delhi has found the use of Pusa Bio-Decomposer to be highly effective in stubble management.
- Kejriwal also urged the Center to ask neighboring states to distribute it free of cost to farmers.
- He said that stubble burning by neighboring states in October is a major factor behind the high level of air pollution in Delhi.
- Kejriwal added, "It is not the fault of the farmers. Governments are at fault because they had to come up with solutions."
- He said last year, "yhe Delhi govt distributed bio-decomposer for free, which was used by farmers to convert stubble into manure on 1,935 acres of land in 39 villages."
