- The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party in Karnataka may have to face embarrassment.
- Former minister and Kagwad MLA Shrimant Patil has revealed that the party offered him cash two years back to part ways with the Congress.
- Patil was among the 16 MLAs who left Congress and the JD(S) and joined BJP in 2019.
- He said, "I was asked how much money I want, but I refused to take the money and asked to give me a good post after the govt was formed."
- "I have joined BJP without taking any money. Now, BJP has promised that he will consider my name when the cabinet expansion takes place."
