Gujarat: 5 names in the race for the post of CM, some are 10th pass and some retired principal
- After the resignation of Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani, now a new leader will be elected in the BJP Legislature Party meeting today.
- The names of Union Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Minister Purushottam Rupala and Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya are reportedly being considered.
- Both of them belong to Patel or Patidar community. Apart from these, Gujarat Deputy CM Nitin Patel and state Agriculture Minister RC Faldu are also from the Patel community.
- Apart from these names, discussions about the name of leader Prafulla Khoda Patel, who is considered very close to PM Modi, are also intensifying.
- Lakshadweep administrator Praful Patel has been in the news in recent times. The local people had expressed great displeasure over some of his decisions.
