
Yogi declares Mathura-Vrindavan a pilgrimage site, liquor and meat will not be sold in 22 municipal wards
- The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh today declared a 10 km radius of Shri Krishna Janasthal in Mathura as a pilgrimage site.
- After this decision of the govt, the sale of liquor and meat will now be banned in 22 municipal wards. There is a provision of punishment for violation.
- CM Yogi said, "I will ask the administration to plan for it and give it to us, we will work on it, we will not let anyone face any problem."
- He said, "Those whose business will be affected by this decision. They will be given work in another place and will be removed from this area."
- CM said, "This decision has been taken after the demand of the people here. The local people wanted that after the declaration of the pilgrimage site, everything should not be sold from here."
