Resolution against CAA passed in Tamil Nadu Assembly, CM said - 'Central government should stop it first'
- Tamil Nadu has also passed a resolution against the CAA in the Assembly amid the ongoing conflict within the country over the citizenship law for the last few years.
- CM MK Stalin said, "Center should completely stop the initiative related to the preparation of NPR and NRC."
- He said, "CAA proved fatal for Sri Lankan Tamil refugees, due to which the rights of a section were snatched away."
- CM said- "When refugees can come from Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh then why ban was imposed on coming from Sri Lanka."
- Accusing the central govt of discrimination, he said that refugees should be seen as human beings, irrespective of religion, race.
