
Delhi Anganwadi workers target PM Modi, said- 'PM promised an increment, 3 years have passed but...'
- The COVID 19 pandemic has destroyed the lives of many people, including the frontline workers. Though the second wave is over still there are possibilities of the third wave.
- The Anganwadi workers of Delhi, who are at the forefront of the fight against the COVID-19, are still fighting against delayed payments and exploitive working conditions.
- The Anganwadi workers of Delhi staged a protest near the Delhi secretariat to demand payment of adequate honorarium and release of arrears and facilities related to health, PF, pension and social security.
- Targeting PM Modi, Vrishali of Delhi State Anganwadi Workers and Helpers Union said that PM promised an increment in the honorarium of ASHA and Anganwadi workers.
- She said that 3 years have passed but the revised rates have still not been implemented. Letting you know, the workers have also raised their voices against MLAs who exploit them by engaging them in election campaigns.
