West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee's nephew and MP Abhishek Banerjee reached the Enforcement Directorate's office on Monday in a money laundering case.
He said, "I have come here because the investigating agency (ED) had issued summons to me. I will cooperate fully with the investigating agency."
The ED had last month issued summons to Abhishek Banerjee and his wife for questioning in a money laundering case related to the alleged coal scam in the state.
Abhishek (33) represents the Diamond Harbor seat in the Lok Sabha and is also the National General Secretary of the Trinamool Congress (TMC).
He was summoned to appear before the investigating officer of the case here on September 6 while his wife Rujira was issued a similar summon under the PMLA asking her to appear on September 1.
