Former UP governor Qureshi booked under 153A, 124A, 153B over derogatory comments on Yogi govt
- UP Police has registered a case of sedition against former Uttar Pradesh Governor Aziz Qureshi.
- This FIR has been registered in the case of allegedly derogatory remarks against UP CM Yogi Adityanath.
- UP Police said that a case has been registered against Qureshi on the complaint of BJP worker Akash Saxena at Civil Lines Police Station in Rampur district.
- According to the copy of the FIR, the former governor has been booked under section 153A.
- He has also been booked on charges of sedition (124A), promoting enmity between religions, castes and 153B for making statements against national unity and integrity.
