Differences in NDA over increase in the price of LPG cylinders, JDU demands rollback
- There is increasing pressure on oil companies to roll back the increase in the prices of LPG cylinders.
- NDA constituent JDU has demanded a rollback of the hike in the prices of LPG cylinders.
- Criticizing the hike in the prices of LPG cylinders, JDU's Principal General Secretary KC Tyagi said, "Never before has there been such a hike in the last one year - where is the petrol (price)."
- He added, "The hike made should be withdrawn immediately because there are elections in many states in the coming days, our opponents in them can use this (rising oil prices) as a weapon."
- KC Tyagi said that the govt should intervene to control the situation. He said that farmers, labourers, urban poor and middle class are all troubled due to rising inflation.
