New ruckus in Punjab over Congress in-charge Harish Rawat's 'Panj Pyare' remark
- Amidst infighting in Punjab Congress, the party in-charge Harish Rawat reached Chandigarh on Tuesday and met the party leaders and listened to their problems.
- After this, he said that Punjab Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu and the four working presidents under him are like 'Panj Pyare'. This remark has landed Rawat in controversy.
- The Akali Dal has called it a religious insult and alleged that Navjot Sidhu and his working presidents have been compared to the "Panj Pyaras" inducted by Guru Gobind Singh into the Khalsa.
- Letting you know, when Harish Rawat was saying this, Sidhu was smiling standing behind him.
- A few days back, Rawat had announced that he would do so if Sidhu did not sack his advisors who had created a ruckus with his remarks on Kashmir.
