Police detain MNS workers gathered in Thane to celebrate Dahi Handi
- Many workers of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), who gathered to celebrate Dahi Handi on Krishna Janmashtami in Thane, Maharashtra, have been detained.
- Actually, MNS had announced that it would celebrate Dahi Handi in Thane. The party had asked its workers to assemble for this.
- But before the Dahi Handi program could start, the police reached the spot and took the workers into custody. All these workers were later taken to the police station.
- It is worth noting that on the occasion of Krishna Janmashtami, Dahi Handi is celebrated all over Maharashtra including the capital Mumbai.
