
UP- Woman constable assaulted in Lucknow, accused hit her with a rod
- A surprising case has come to the fore in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. A youth saw a woman constable, who was patrolling in the Aliganj area, and made indecent remarks on her.
- When the enraged female constable opposed him, he became so angry that he hit the constable with a rod in her face.
- The woman constable, who was covered in blood, was later admitted to the hospital, the accused is said to be the son of a lawyer.
- The accused has been booked for attempt to murder, eve-teasing and voluntarily causing grievous hurt to deter a public servant from duty.
- The woman constable was on duty in 'Pink Patrolling', a wing formed to prevent incidents of crime against girls/women.
