- The Governor said that the SDM, who ordered the lathi charge on the farmers, should be sacked immediately.
- Malik said that the accused SDM is not fit to be in the job, while the Khattar government is giving him protection.
- He also expressed grief over the fact that 600 farmers died but no one uttered a word of consolation from the government side. He said, "I am the son of a farmer. I know his meaning."
