Dramatic arrest of retired former IPS who challenged CM Yogi Adityanath
- Former UP cadre IPS officer Amitabh Thakur, who was forcibly retired in March this year by the Union Home Ministry, has landed in new trouble.
- UP Police has arrested him in Lucknow today in connection with abetment to suicide.
- Many people including former CM Akhilesh Yadav have tweeted about the arrest of Amitabh Thakur.
- In the tweeted video, Amitabh Thakur is being forcibly pushed into a police jeep outside his Lucknow residence.
- Thakur objected to this and refused to sit inside the jeep. He is seen saying that "I will not go until you show me the FIR."
