- Amidst the Corona crisis, strange news has come out from Maharashtra where a farmer has sought permission from the Solapur collector to grow hemp.
- Farmer Anil Patil wrote in a letter sent to the district administration, "There is no fixed price for any product, but hemp gets a good price."
- The district administration sent Patil's letter to the police. After seeing the application, the police said that this is nothing but a publicity stunt.
- Patil also wrote in the letter that if permission is not given to grow hemp on two acres of land by September 15, then he will start farming from September 16.
- At the same time, the senior inspector of Mohol police station, Ashok Sarkar said, "If Patil cultivates ganja, then action will be taken against him."
