Priyanka Gandhi taunts the govt over sugarcane farmers- 'increased diesel prices more than 100 times but...'
- Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has targeted the Center and the Yogi government without naming the farmers in UP.
- Priyanka said that the price of electricity for farmers in UP has increased many times.
- She tweeted, "Diesel prices have increased more than 100 times, but farmers' sugarcane prices have increased by Rs 0 since 2017. Why this injustice to the farmers?"
- The National President of the BKU, Naresh Tikait, also termed the increase in the minimum price given by the mills to the sugarcane farmers as "inadequate".
- He demanded that the fair and remunerative price of sugarcane should be commensurate with the increase in the prices of petrol, diesel and other commodities which farmers use to grow the crop.
